Hey Sonic Junction - Rick Estrin back again, with the last lesson on this piece we're calling "So Long". This week the lesson starts from the IV of the sixth and final verse, and takes it on out. The idea for the phrasing on the IV lick and the lick that takes us back to the l, is based on some phrasing Little Walter used on the song, "Tonight With a Fool". We get pretty dramatic on the V, by worrying, bending, stretching and teasing the 4th hole draw to the max! This is the last lesson in this series. Hopefully you enjoyed it and got something good out of it. Many of the concepts I've shared with you in this series in particular, are some of the most valuable things I know about playing effective blues harmonica.
Until next time - Rick Estrin

Thanks for another great series, Rick. Very sorry to hear your good friend passed away.
Thanks Robert. I'm glad you enjoyed the series. Regarding Jay's passing, it's a sad deal. He was a great guy.
