Hi Folks,
This week week we are working on the rhythm to Soft Winds. Its basically simple swing 4/4 with not a lot of passing chords. Remember that the 5 change stays on the five for two measures. A five / four doesn't usually apply to the swing style blues. So keep it simple and swinging and remember to flick your wrist evenly for good forward motion.
Enjoy,
Duke

hey Duke!
Just going back over this old favorite and wondering if you can call out the G chord voicing that you used in the tag at the very end…Sounds to me like a first position G dominant seven will work but I’m hearing some extra grease in your voicing and would love to know how you got the sound
rock on!
Hey Duke! I jumped right into soloing. Just picked up (well, it jumped into my arms and I couldn't put it down) a vintage 335 and I feel like it's given my playing a real boost. It feels easier to stay relaxed with it than some other guitars. Would love to hear what you think about this one when you get the chance! Thanks, Bruce
