This week we’re continuing our exploration of Sonny Boy I. Today we’re going to look at a connecting riff that you can use to link riffs together and also exhale air built up from the previous octave draw lick. I’m playing a C harp in the key of G.
Topics and/or subjects covered in this lesson:Blues
C Harp in the Key of G.
On Western Union Man you can hear John Lee play the new lick at ..
- 0:05 .. 0:07
- 0:28 .. 0:30
- 0:39 .. 0:41
- 1:12 .. 1:14
- 1:34 .. 1:36
- 2:18 .. 2:20
All of these are examples of the riff done three times. You can also hear John Lee play the riffs from the previous two weeks as well.
The sequence of the riff is
- 1 2 draw
- 1 2 3 blow
- 3 4 blow .. with a soft ‘T’ or ‘D’
OK, hope you enjoyed the post and looking forward to hearing your thoughts, questions and comments.
