Hi Folks, This week we are starting on a new song, the ever popular "Sweet Home Chicago." We are taking our example from the late great Magic Sam's version which, in my opinion is the best version. We are learning the instrumental opening chorus this week. It's a classic folks, and if you learned "That's Alright" with me you have a head start. From the 5 change its exactly "That's Alright" to the note. So if you know that you just have to speed it up! Still it's a bit of a challenge but well worth the effort to master this classic.
Enjoy, Duke

still stumbling but getting smoother, thanks Duke!
Duke,
Loving the Magic Sam/Robert Johnson in this lesson. I had to work on this one awhile but its nice to learn so new licks. I hope they stick...
Steve
Any chance of doing Magic Sam's version of Willie Cobb's"You Don't Love Me Baby"
HEY there Honeybear - just gettin the hang of this upload gizmo - oops, now I see there's a backing track, oh well, next time - man I remember you cruising around in farmer's overalls with Foxy, John Nicholas, Black Cat & Cottonmouth in the AT, that whole Lancaster scene - that's where I got turned on to the blues - it's a real pleasure to be doing this kind of thing with you now - Allan
Hi Alan, you've got a very good start on it! Keep on working on it. The the section after the five change is the one that needs more work. But your close, keep up the good work! Duke
It comes out different everytime but pretty close. Dig the Duke guitar! I think the Magic Sam version is the best as well! Thanks.
