Hello Harpers!
Dennis Gruenling here, and this time as we dig into the 3rd chorus of my “Windy City Shuffle” we really step into the Little Walter bag here. Notice how I use a long trill to build up tension into a longer phrase, and then continue building tension with blues notes and phrases building up to the V chord where it then comes together to release some tension after the IV chord, then back into the I chord at the end. Lots of Little Walter inspired runs and licks, directly from his vocabulary. When you get stuck on a pattern, just slow it down and get it smooth, then you can speed it up slowly.
Grab them A harps and enjoy!!
Dennis
