Hey Sonic Junction -
This week we're doing a more in-depth, more detailed breakdown of the intro verse - We'll be dissecting the techniques employed and describing more precisely, what's entailed in the physical execution of these techniques. We're working with fairly long, inhaled triplet tongue flutters that are punctuated with tongue slaps so we also need to address the breath conservation and strategic breathing required for smooth delivery. We also briefly venture into the rarely visited (in 2nd position) upper register and utilize a 3/7 draw octave, necessitating a slightly wider embouchure adjustment. So here's round two of the intro verse - it's a comprehensive "how-to" of the techniques involved. It may take a little work to get some of it down, but the payoff will be well worth it!
Have fun!
