Hey Sonic Junction -
This week we're tackling the first part of the middle solo section in "You Don't Love Me That Way". In this lesson, we'll be dealing with note shaping (using our hands in conjunction with bends) - There're some percussive chords, and a smothered note with a vibrato and a simultaneous, slight bend. It sounds like a lot, but when you put it all together, it's gonna feel just right!
Stay safe and healthy! Turn off the TV and get to work on "You Don't Love Me That Way"!

Great lesson I've been watching Sonny Terry, and playing his video's. Can you do a lesson on Sonny
Hi Boyd - Sonny Terry's great, but I've never made a close study of his style. I studied at great length, the styles of people like John Lee "Sonnyboy" Williamson, Sonnyboy 2 (Rice Miller), Little Walter, and James Cotton.
Hi Rick !! I just can t take enough of John Lee Williamson !! Man ... just love it , to me ... It s the way harp should be played , with all the textures; sloops , chords , tongue slap , shaping notes , vibrato and in the pocket !! Wow Rick ... more of that Please !! and did the guy survived ?? I hearded coughing in the back ... lol
I think the guy is ok. I hope so. If he's not, I'll be in trouble next time I have to do a lesson.
