Driftin' Blues > First Two Chorus Fills

Hi Folks,

This week we continue on the blues classic Driftin' Blues by Charles Brown featuring Johnny Moore on guitar. His playing on this is elegant and harmonically rich and at the same time simple and bluesy. His use of the 6th and 9ths in his riffs makes it a unique sound that's moody and melodic. On this lesson we learn the first two choruses of fills and chords behind the vocal. It's a very fun tune to play and next week we will tackle the solo chorus. This is some of my favorite guitar playing folks so dig in and have some fun.....

Enjoy,

Duke

After a lot of research I recently picked up a solid state Quiter Aviator 1 x 12 to ease my achin back. its 33lbs. The 1 x 8 model has the same amp section but wieghts ony 22 lbs.  Check out the 2 x 10, again the same amp section, in a show down with vintage Fender https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqaoOhjrQ34

the Aviator is made in the good ol USA.

I generally use a modified Deluxe Reverb which weights in at 46 lbs.

I agree it's lovely! Could you tell us what amp you're playing through too?
