Hi Folks,
This week we are learning the 2nd A section of my Honeysuckle Rose solo. On the first A we stayed in first position. For the second A we go up to second position between the 7th and 10 frets. Breaking into a higher octave makes to build intensity. Again the solo is simple but works well to demonstrate the idea of building a solo. Get this one down and we will move on to the bridge next.

Oh wow, thanks for the lucid explanation about that lick, Duke! I wouldn't have spotted that it was a quick rake giving it that "snap"! It's still pretty tricky to play, but I'm pretty sure I understand it now, at any rate. Thanks again! Bruce
