Hi Duke .. I love the right hand technique part of the lesson. I was noticing the rake in your backing track and things like this really make the tune. I appreciate you teaching and sharing this as it is exactly where I want to take my playing.
At some point, it would be great to dig into bending and vibrato .. maybe a slow blues series just focusing on those two techniques?
Hi B-K .. to answer your question about slow down for Firefox ... it will come in time, but I can't say when.
The slow down is done by the browser, so it's a matter of when they release that feature. Firefox has actually fallen behind in the the past year or so.
Love the tune. Here's where I am with the first parts. I like concentrating on a part of the tune for the first lesson. A very slow run through of all the sections with your foot tapping real loud would be perfect for me to learn / practice the rest of the parts. Thanks!
Love this tune Corey! I'm taking those first two lines real slow and they seem to be coming along well. The second line / walk up syncopation is a little tricky, but I think I'm going to get it this week.
Song reminds me of Taj's Sweet Mama Janisse on his The Real Thing album (one of my favorite albums) ... not sure exactly why ... I think it's the walk up. Thanks!

Welcome to Sonic Junction. Yes the monthly subscription give you access to ALL of Jerry's lessons .. My Babe through Sonny Boy I through the Masterclass. Glad you enjoyed Jerry's Masterclass CD's ... they are a tremendous resource.
If you use Google Chrome, IE9 or Safari as your browser, you will see a menu at the top of the video for slowing down the videos (same pitch / slow speed). Does that help?
I will write-up a guide to the slow downer and looper as there are some nice looping features we have just implemented.
Amazing tune. The intro is absolutely beautiful. Here's where I am after working on it today. I feel like I've heard some song that borrowed this intro ... Allman Brothers or George Harrison maybe ...
Hi Corey, here's where I am with 44 Blues. I try to sing on this one. I'm not a singer at all, but would love to learn. I know it's probably a long, long road for me ... but hey, every journey starts with one step right?
@Alex .. thanks for the encouragement to sing! It actually kind of fun. I have a long way to go, but would be really cool if I could actually learn to sing.
@ DaddyRay .. sounds great! I like your right hand technique ... and the tone of your guitar sounds really good.
@ Alex .. awesome! I like you're singing on this one ... great to hear you sing! Alright, I will sing on my next one ... but I warn you, I am not a singer. That said, there's only way to become one, just do it. Alex, it would be great to hear you do one of these tunes in Italian.
Absolutely love this one DUKE !! I have a new favorite chord .. Cm#9. It's cool how some parts move with the chords and others stay the same ... like the bass note on the IV chord. I also like how you did multiple verses of the rhythm and varied it a bit ... I plan to pick up those variations too as they add nice color to it. Thanks!
OK .. here's where I'm at on 44 Blues. Loving the tune. I still need to learn the B7 transition (which is awesome Corey!). My son is playing the drums with me on this one.
@Alex .. Awesome! Congrats on getting all the riffs down ... I'm still working on the B7. One thing I noticed about Corey's version on his album is how the percussion ads to the emotion of the song ... I'm experimenting with a heavy foot beat as I learn the tune. You're ahead of me as usual !! :-)
@Corey ... this version on Mississippli to Mali is totally immersive ... feel like you're taking me on a journey to another place. Would love to hear you talk sometime on how you do this. I got the same feel on your version of Catfish blues from last year. Amazing.
Love this tune Corey! I'm getting the first line down now. The run is next which is going to be a little rough!
Alex, you sound great as usual!
Slughead ... I totally agree, when I get the new tune from Corey and Duke, it's like a new gem is delivered and a window of possibility opens up!

Hi Stevieboy .. totally awesome! I love it when you and Duke are trading 4's!! It's just makes me smile. Made my day!

Hey Jerry .. you and Rick do a great job on this tune. All of it is amazing ... but the bend at 3:40 is totally mind blowing.

Hi Duke,
I'm really loving this Eddie Taylor series. I'll post a video soon. GREAT raw blues! Their's a certain energy, groove that totally resonates. Thanks!

Love it DUKE !! I'm having a ball with those chord fragments. Just love the groove and sound of it. Great, great lesson. Thanks!
Hi Alex .. I have a Roland Cube Street and love it. I think Duke has one too. Great amp for home. I have never tried to perform with it.
You sound great !! ... I need to go a practice!
