Thanks for the encouragement. I'm just a little frustrated with hitting the panic button too much and heading back to home base. These new licks are starting to sink in, just need to try 'em out more often in the moment.
Well here is a short one with some of these new licks... Mistakes and all...
Thanks for all cool riffs and solos. I've been trying to incorparate these concepts into my live playing but only having some success with it. Seems like when I get into the heat of battle at a jam or gig I tend to revert back to my instinctual "tried and true" playing. The problem is that those licks are starting to become "tired and repetiive" to me.
I hoping these new concepts will come in their own time and I'll try to not force them before they are second nature to my fingers and headspace.
I love the solo stuff but need the rhythm parts just as much.
Here's my take. It's not perfect but seems to invoke the spirit of this style. My solos need more "major" sounding notes. Thanks for the pearls of wisdom Duke.
I need my fingers thinking for me when I'm trying to sing. It's nice if your fingers have "legs of their own" so to speak when stepping up to the mike...
This ia a fun one Duke.
Awesome Steve. Man --- that's a a great head. Love your tone too.
Cool tune Duke.
Mike the spacing seems to have gotten a little off with the web redesign.
Thanks,
Steve
Oh cool a rag! Very nice.
Steve
Thanks Duke,
Here's one I found on YT.
Is this the Fenton Robinson version?
Cool lesson Duke!
Get "Free Bird" level of requests playing in Austin for this one... Guess I should learn it...
Thanks,
Steve
Duke,
I love the groove on this one... Off to learn the solos.

What's shakin' up in Big D?
Steve
Duke,
Love the Peter Green vibes on this one. I play something in the same vein on Fleetwood Mac's "I Need your love so Bad".
Still need to work a little on timeing, but makeing it cry is what you got to shoot for here...
Guys,
I think there is a slight error in measures 5 & 6 of the tab.

Hey Duke,
Here's the One plus One long and short parts...
Getting these on video is a nice practice regiment.
Guys,
I'll give the tab a shot. If anyone sees or hears a mistake please advise.
Duke,
Here's another go at it. I also added some embellishments on the 2nd 12 based on some you tube BB King videos.
Thanks,
Steve
