I'm pretty sure I had to learn on the band stand with Pinetop on this one. Seems like the band leader gave me a quickie run thru. Got to keep your ears open.
Hi Steve, Very good man.Pinetop may have played it a little different but close. It got to play quite a lot when he was younger in the 70s and 80s. Any you got got it. Sounds good! Duke
Rick,
Are these the chords you a picken on the walk down at the end of the turnaround?
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks Duke,
I'll be sure to work on it.
Steve

Always a thrill getting to play with Pinetop...
Thanks Duke

Duke,
Loving the Magic Sam/Robert Johnson in this lesson. I had to work on this one awhile but its nice to learn so new licks. I hope they stick...
Steve
Any chance of doing Magic Sam's version of Willie Cobb's"You Don't Love Me Baby"
I've had to "fake it till you make" too many times on this one. Good to get one of Freddiw's best under your fingers...
Duke,
I'm glad your doing this great tune. One of my favorie BB tunes. This line is about tone and execution. No time to mess around on this one.
Thanks,
Steve
Duke,
Loving these rhythm parts...
Thanks,
Steve
Duke,
Here's my take on both grooves...
Thanks for all the great lessons,
Steve
Duke,
Is this the chord your bending and shaking (@ 8:44) over what I think is the beginning I of the progression. Very cool.
I'm sort of living in the past with these old lessons. Sort of trying to catch up but just a wealth of awesome musical ideas here.
Yes that's it. Duke
Thanks Duke,
Awesome lesson. Adding some new colors to my blues. Love the combination of the root two string 1 5 chords plus the moving 6 9 chords.
I've always used a lot of bending in my solos, so this lesson has introduced my to a more jazzier, melodic approach if you will.
Thanks,
Steve
Duke,
Is this the C 6 9 chord?
Great lesson Duke. I love Freddie King.
Maybe a lesson featuring the alternate "Stumble" of Peter Green.
Cool stuff. I like the three level slurs and the I V licks.
