So this time I just wanted to tell you that Alex from Italy firmly disagree and express his opinion in the name of freedom of speech!!!:D
But I do want to learn this different approach to after pack my suitcase and go back home! ;)
Thanks maestro for all the efforts and knowledge you are giving to us...It's really so much appreciated by me and surely by the others too here!!!It's passed more than one year since the beginning of this adventure and I do feel much more rich than before....It's you and Mike merit!!!
@Corey...thanks for the lesson....This time I disagree with my fav guitar maestro! :DD...
To me play slide guitar means for sure not exceed with slide but at the same time I personally don't like when there's too much fingerpicking or chords because be at that point in MY opinion is not playin slide guitar anymore....What I really can't stand for example is that people who really exagerate with slide solos....they're terrible to me...Eric Sardinas for example..His version of "come on in my kitchen"...brrr..if there's the balance it's ok.,but even if it's like 80% slide and 20% fingerpicking it's fine...I'm thinkin about Feelin bad blues (Ry Cooder) but even the master piece Dark was the night, cold was the ground....there's not so much fingerpickin and there's right number of notes...but even in your version of You got to move there's balance....and for the same reasoning, takin robert Johson as an example, I don't really like Terraplane Blues, while Travelling Riverside blues and Preachin Blues (up jumped the devil) are great to me..
@Corey..thanks for all the explanations..Slide tecnique is so difficoult...it's really easy to get noise..The "right" way to hold the slide for me has been very determinant..Since I started to hold that way, which you talked a lot in the past lessons, I could see the difference...and even dampen the strings...slide is really a long journey..
anyway here's my feedback...I put some kind of variations at the end...but in general to me maybe there's not so much bass sound when I play the line...do you think I should dig a little bit more?....I'm workin on the other brushes too and add some different chords..I think they're B7 and A7
@Corey..thanks! I've started a few days ago to work on the rythm too...I can hear in this tune also some similarities with Come on in my Kitchen...I wait for the next lesson to post another video!!!!
@MikeH....depending on your OS you can use the function ctrl+p (windows) or alt+P....or for Mac....cmd+p...and selecting the pages where there are the chords, you will really have nice and clear chords printed....
Enjoy!!!!
p.s.write in capital letters on Internet is like shouting in real life! ;)
@Duke...thanks...Yes I tried to do in bossa nova which is a style that I really love but also because it was even more immediate...I'm in trouble in using the pick...I've tried but while I was doin these chords there was a lot of bazz and ugly dissonances as some strings should be touch while other not...:)
@Corey...another request if possible....do you start the vibrato after you get to the note, right?
I think it would helpfull for the newer here to do a kind of review of how to hold the slide....you talked it a lot about it in the older lesson but maybe the other ones haven't seem them....:))
@Corey thanks for the lesson...here's my video...very free interpretation as usual for my first video :)..about holdin slide..to me is difficoult to use the thumb as an anchor..It's more comfortable for me to put right behind the neck..:)
@Corey thanks....I do feel much more comfortable now except for the variations!!! :) In the last lesson there's a more recent video where I tried goin to the V to dampen the 4/5/6 strings with the palm....It was before reading your feedback here...I think I also abused of brushes but I Like them a lot....and I've noticed you add, into the brush, even something more...I don't really know how to explain too!! :))
@Jd...nice!!!! I like the sound of your guitar!!! It's really warm but it's also merit of the player ;)....The only think I don't like of epiphone guitar (like mine) is that they put the brand on the neck and on top of the guitar....in fact I removed it on top but I couldn't do it on the neck!!It's quite a new thing..in the old epiphone it wasn't there...and they looked nicer!!!
@Corey....here's mine....maybe I abused of brushes :) Chokes are still difficoult tu put into the variations..I need time..a lot...I've realized that it's not so bad to mute the 5th string when I'm on goin to the V on the 2nd strings...I would have put the beat with the foot louder but I don't want to abuse of the patience of my neighbours!!!!:DDDD
btw....really nice the guinee groove video on youtube!!! :DD
@Corey...thanks for the indication on chokes and everything else...I can see why it was so difficoult for me to get that sound...I was pickin the strings :) I'll post a video soon....
@Jd you should see my face tryin to play the guitar, sing and put the beat in levare....exspecially in the b section :DD..It's like someone whose raisin 100 kilos...anyway here is my attempt, mon ami!
@Peter...I'm not angry!!!My intention was exacly the opposite...express my opinion in an hilarious way!!! :D....

@Corey...I'm tryin here to find a more personal way to play Special Rider
@Duke...here's my video...I'm tryin to avoid to use the pick as I don't fill very comfortable with it...:)

Hy Duke...
sorry for doin this...I'm too undesciplined :)) With this so beautifull chords the temptation has been too high!! :))
