@Corey..I didn't know John Jackson...Lookin for different versions of "That will never happen no more" I found his video playin the tune...He seems to be a very calm and peacefull person...plus he's very relaxed while he plays....I've noticed thing of this players of Delta Blues....If you take a look at videos of Skip James, Son House and John Jackson too, they all have very short trousers that show their socks....incredible and extravagant socks!!! Really funny...maybe this manner of dress was fashionable at that time!!! :))
@Corey.....thanks for feedback..I do have to work more on the bass line..I think it's not only a matter of alternating correctly...I'm looking for that different sound that really makes the day..I'd like to have it more woody and it's not a matter of guitar...I was really happy that you played it not only because for me, as a fan, it was an honour but also this way I could listened where the guitar could arrive...you know what I mean...and in your fingers it sounded different so I haven't got even this excuse!! :))) with another one, a better one, maybe could be easier but the real challenge I think for a musician is to have that real sound with not such a good guitar!!
Wish you all the best and hope to see you here again soon...:)
@Corey...sorry...I put the wrong option on youtube while uploading :DD..Now It should work...anyway...what's really hard for me is keep the rithm without avoid to alternate when I'm on A...
Thanks Corey...I do hear that little variations..they're fantastic...:)) I didn't know much about Blind Blake...I really appreciate you're transmitting us your passion for his music....In Honeysuckle I think there's a lot of that Blind Blake/African Blues feelin typicall of your sound....I'm tryin to study it too :)))
just one more thing, if possible....please let me know what you think about the festival here in Bologna...We would love to see you here again.
Mike...really nice job!!...you've got the woody sound that I really Like and I'm lookin for too...Your picking on the bass line is accurate...I tend for example and wrongly to pick together high strings with lower string...you instead are only on the bass which is really good at least for me! :)))
@Mike...thanks!!!! What you say I think it's true....I'm letting me go now, much more than before, since I started playin the guitar having drums in my mind...I'm a former djembe player :))
@Corey...It's a first approach..I'm tryin to play only the bass line and sing the melody..I still have to practice more on brushes...I'm too much used to only pick the strings :)
@Corey....I really dig this tune...It reminds me Baby you got to change your mind of Blind Boy fuller....anyway...this tune is really hard!!!! thanks for the lesson :)
@Corey I think It's weaker also when I go to G...It's difficoult there to combine melody and bass...I'm still workin on brushes....thanks for feedback :))
@Mike....grazie!! :)) I think I'm still a little bit dirty especially on the bass but I'm satisfied cause I can see I'm improving :))..You sound good to...I like that bending on the second string when you are in G :))) really bluesy!! :))
@Corey....Here's my last attempt. I think the alternate picking with the thumb is not so bad but the wrist, when I brush the string, is still a little bit tied :)..I've tried to throw in very little variations :))
@Corey...I still have to focus on how to put the two things together and brushes with the thumb....I put some little variations in the tune that taought me not so long ago a friend of mine teacher and blues musician (Emanuele Sintoni)who's a Blind Boy Fuller's Fan...Rag Mama....It's one of his fav and mine too!! :))...
@corey..thanks!!!I've started tryin to brush the strings with the thumb but at the moment I'm a little bit in trouble! :D..Anyway this is a very important teaching..when I got it, I will have another more option in my "sound suitcase"..I'm startin again to try do something with the pick...It's just to have another meter of paragon, we say in Italian...I'm realizing how important is to explore many different places, take the good things with you and put them together to build your own house! :D
In the post of the first lesson I expressed bad myself, sorry!....I meant Lonnie Johnson and Django Reinhardt...I'm studying "Woke up with the blues in my fingers" and it seemed to me that there were some things in common...:)
@Corey..thanks for posting the video of the blues houseparty...They all looks really genuine people! :))

@jd...SJ is my abbrevation for Sonic Junction :))
@Jd the guitar for sure helps but I think,in your case too, it's not all about it!! ;) Welcome in SJ :))
ok...after having seen the ending of the tune it's time for me, how we say in italian, to hang the guitar to the nail :DDDD
@Jd...You play really well. I like expecially how you sound on the bass....Nice to have you here!!! :)))

@corey...I'm workin on the variations....Maybe I'm still arranging it too much....it's hard that alternating bass when I'm on the A..
