Hi Duke, first this site is amazing, I can't believe I will be able to have lessons with you! You and Junior Watson are my all time favourite guitar players.

I stopped playing guitar for 1 year now to dedicate myself to lap steel (tuned in C6, great for swing, in fact western swing! and hawaiian). I think it really help to develop my ear. I take lessons on Skype with a legend, John Ely, it’s great to have access to legends like you and him by internet.

Now I want to come back to guitar, and I have always been attracted to wing, I have a good knowledge of basic music theories and I’m familiar with your style and love it, I would like to learn more of the jazzy stuff.

There a lot of great stuff on the site and I don't know where to start, can you recommend me something? If I understand, I can learn a lesson or a song and send a video in the forum so you can comment and tell what is good and what is bad?

I couldn't play it exactly like you did Jerry, but I tried... The ending Lick I just forgot it!!! and ended up playing something else and that too with some hesitation... That little bit you play between the solo and the SBW-I ending lick I fumbled there too..... 

Hy steve...at the beginning it's a kind of my version of jingle bell in fingerpicking...than it's take me back which I learned by Corey and at the end it's Goind Down slow feelin bad....Eric Bibb version..It's a nice tune that I'm continuosly studin'...thanks for your compliments..

Great idea Ronnie.  Either would be awesome .. but if I had to choose ... I would give +1 to the Stumble.  I would also enjoy hearing Duke talk about Freddie King.

I'll also add one .. Low Tide .. there are so many great riffs and phrases in this tune.

JWSadler the song Devil Baby by Mark Knopfler which you cover is wonderful I like your playing and singing never mind the facial expression its just the music most people want to hear!! so dont sweat it too much...try to relax and enjoy yourself playing and everything should fall into place :)

Thanks Duke and Mojo ;-)  I actually did a video several years ago showing how I work and my bio, my studio and shop are always real messy looking, not enough space really, but I do know where everything is. I make alot of my own parts and don't mass produce stuff and work slow, quality before quantitiy and have a long waiting list, almost a year now. Here's the video....enjoy ;-)

Thanks Iceman, that's a nice compliment... I still struggle with producing the vibrato/tremolo at higher speeds at low speed its kind of comming along ok...Sorry for my late response... I was on the Rig at work now I'm back home again... :)

OK, this may be boring for you guys, but this is another jam on the CC90 pickup, I used an alternate blade that is a little darker, and one guy wanted to hear out of phase tones with it and the P13 repro of mine in the bridge and a quick bridge noodle. My playing on this one borderline sucks, some days you got "it" and some days you don't. LOL. 

Boyd, your videos are posting fine, you've posted the same video 7 times now! After you post a video it doesn't show up in your browser until you refresh the page, otherwise it looks like your videos aren't there, well they ARE there, 7 of the same video ;-) Check it out....
