I agree, I would like to archive lessons in MP4 or MP4 lessons , I practice with my Ipod (1st gen!) and would like to access past lessons instantaniously;.

I also am getting a few audio dropuots and glitches in the videos when viewing on your site, not sure why, I get no dropouts when viewing youtube material........

I begin to study jazz / blues and I fell in love with "Sunday morning" (a beautiful song), I can play it, but I do not understand the chord sequence in the background!

Mike....My practice is with Jerry...Being a harmonica player, I find these lessons very useful as Jerry tends to stick too "Standard" blues greats; this is why I study at Sonic Junction. The ability to have mp3s of at least the play along tracks, audio only is fine, would be a great tool to learn and embed the timing of the songs we are learning. To my knowledge and by the jist of this forum topic I assume there is a plausable way to go about acheiving this tool and/or method of teaching....Tommy Hutch

My comment;  being 60 years old, playing for 47 years on and off. I don't mind paying the monthly fees but all I really want to do is grab three or four of Duke's lessons and work on them for several months. Getting on the net every night and grabing the same lesson is time wasted. Give me an option to purchase a DVD of one or two lesson series at a time and I am much happier. Sonic Junction is great and I understand the business model, please consider an optional revenue stream selling DVDs.

HI Duke. I'm Chris Roach from Salford near Manchester Great Britain!!  I just subscribed to your superb video tuition channel.  I like to play all kinds of blues and like most modern guitarists my style is a melting pot of different influencies mainly from the 1950's, 1960' to the present. I really want to focus on the Jazzier side of things so I'm gonna start of by studing some T.Bone. Here's a couple of my You Tube guitar demos, should give you a impression of where I'm at. Hope they down load . Best Regards Chris!

Hi David .. I really like your playing.  Like Duke said, very fluid and tasty ... I love the way you mix in the chord fragments.  Great tone too!

Duke - any chance u could do Johnny's blues, Like the version on utube where there are two harmonyguitar parts.  That is such a beautiful blues head.

Hey LTH,

Great job again on Big Boss Man. Besides playing the elements very close to the original and the way I showed them, I especially liked the way you "chopped" that little chord rhythm as fills in the last vocal chorus. You were just playing what felt natural to you and it fit perfectly. You're really developing some great skills. I am so pleased to think that I have contributed to your progress. I look forward to more of your videos.

I suggest practice to ear the intervals, a web site like this can help http://www.good-ear.com/servlet/EarTrainer

Like I said in a previous post, I also practice with a drone note to ear interval playing a scale over it. For exemple let ring your low E and play E major scale on the D string.

I also like to take a saxophone riff (I really like Louis Jordan and Eddie Cleanhead Vinson for that) and to copy it, phrase by phrase.

Hello fellow guitarists, I would like to know your opinion and advice about a project I have.

I have an Harmony / Silvertone Stratone, the semi-hollow model (no f-hole) that have 2 great sounding pickups (Dearmond Harshey bar) but the neck have to much relief, bad frets and no truss rod. And I have a nice Fender Stratocaster MIJ 50's reissue guitar that play very well and look very good (green surf, maple neck).

Since I really love the tone off these pickups I'm thinking about ordering a blank pickguard and install the 2 Dearmond pickups on the stratocaster. Do you think its a good idea?

jean-sebastien gauthier

Haha! Yeah I see lots of harp player or I should say blues lover with an harp in their hands that always whant to play but can`t, they think that because they create sound that they create music, or because they found the right key then can just blow but they dont wich chord they play over! I think they just really want to be a part of the music but don`t realize that they ruin it, in a bar context I think its a good thing to let them play a song, they have 3 minutes of glorry and you tell them, just like you did, thank you and let them go, or ask if they don`t! That way you give them a good time and memory!

jean-sebastien gauthier

+1 for The Stumble, a very nice instrumental!

jean-sebastien gauthier

I think I will start with Blues After Hour and Honky Thonk lessons because I really like those songs and I will start learning the Swingning The Blues lessons because it seems to have lot of stuff. Sound good? Can I send a video of the songs when I will be ready?
