Hi Corey I did another try at this.  I like it however because of where the mic was placed, the vocals came thru very soft.  Tha is okay though, can always do another one later.

Thanks for the thoughts.

One way to think about it is if you were to meet Duke, Corey or Jerry in person and introduce yourself, what name would you use?

Great to be learning with all of you at Sonic Junction!

Thanks Corey, I am still working from your lesson and listening and studying and applying the technique to my own playing.  I will post something again later when I am ready.  The singing while playing is a bit challenging, however I do realize what your singing is actually doing is mimicking the guitar notes so with that said, it should become easier for me.  Thanks

Hi Roger ... thanks for the input.  Agreed on the count in for the backing tracks.  Quick question:

- are the drum clicks we have put in for the last two lessons OK 1 .. 2 .. 1 2 3 4, or would you like a vocal count in?

Thanks again for the input and shout out!

Hi Alex ... yes, agreed on the bigger video size for Sonic Junction videos.  We will make them the same size as the YouTube videos.  We will also fix the full-screen bug you mention.

I also think extending the tab would help.  I appreciate you letting me know your thoughts.  Thanks!

I'll add Fishnet to the list guys. Have you heard Debbie Davies instrumental version of it? Duke

Hi Jean, Any of those are a good place to start. Then something like Lester leaps in would be good to get familar with the I got Rhythm type 32 bar progression. Good luck! Duke

Hi Tom and Gualtiero, OK Sunday Mornin' will be on the list. Now the question is, which version? It was on Guitar Groove a rama as a swing tune then also on my Wobble walkin' as a Latin feel. Which one are you both refering too? Duke

Starting this Friday, March 29th, our email service started sending duplicate emails to some users (and none to others).  We apologize to those of you that received duplicate emails or none at all.  As of 2:15PM US West Coast time we have turned off our email service (lesson and comment announcements).  We will turn it back on once we have isolated and fixed the issue.

Brian thanks for posting the song.  I would suggest that you stick to a constant form in the song instead of stretching out too much.  I feel that songs like catfish work best when there is a recognizeable form to the song.  I like a lot of the chords you are using but I think the song would sound better with a lighter touch on the strings (right hand).   This might help with some of the string noise that I hear.  In the beginning there were some parts where your rhythm was a little uneven but it smoothed out later on.  Thanks again for taking the time to post the music and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Mike the only thing I would suggest is to have a bigger size of the video we can record in Sonic Junction....When I click on the "full size" of videos recorded they just remain of the same measure....This is also the reason why I upload my videos on youtube...they're bigger and this way it's easier also for Corey to see where I'm doin bad or good!

Extend the tab to right would be really usefull!! :))

Mike,

My three favorites from your list are :

- move backing track to just under video recorder (so you can press record and then start the track easily)

- better chord charts (likely going to standardize to a two measure format)

- enable printing of chord charts / tab

and I'll add one of my own: When backing tracks are provided (which are great by the way) please add a "count in" at the beginning.

Mike I want to compliment you on doing a great job with this site. The lessons are great and I look forward to them each week.  THANK YOU !
